TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
1. Introduction
1.1. Pick-Roll is a mobile application designed to connect basketball enthusiasts around the world. Specifically, the app allows users to find basketball courts, organize games, create events, and interact with other users.
1.2. The use of the services offered by the “Pick-Roll” application is governed by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Account
2.1. To access the features and premium services of Pick-Roll, the User must download the “Pick-Roll” App from the official iOS and Google Play stores and create their own account.
2.2. The account can be created using one of the following registration methods:
a) Registration using a personal email address – the User must provide the mandatory data required by the App for this procedure, including first name, last name, a valid email address, and a password for access.
b) Registration using their Apple account;
c) Registration using their Google account.
2.3. To create the account, Pick-Roll requires a valid email address, which must be verified through a confirmation system accessible via the user’s profile.
2.4. Creating an account results in the opening of a personal User profile. Once created, the User can personalize their profile by providing personal information (if not already provided during registration) and other data to enhance the user experience.
3. Account Deletion
3.1. Each User can delete their account at any time by accessing the appropriate section in the App.
3.2. Account deletion also automatically cancels any subscriptions for accessing premium services. In this case, Pick-Roll does not offer any refund, either full or partial, for the remaining subscription period.
3.3. After deleting the account, information generated by the User, such as ratings or public contributions (e.g., court creation), remains visible to other users and may be reused by the platform to improve the service.
3.4. Deleting the Account results in the loss of all scores earned in the App.
3.5. Pick-Roll reserves the right to suspend or delete the account in case of violation of these Terms and Conditions or in the case of proven abuse reported by other users.
4. Basic App Services
4.1. Through the App, users can, for example:
a) Create and view basketball courts available in their area;
b) Create and participate in basketball games;
c) Organize sports events;
d) Check in at a basketball court;
e) Interact with other users through a rating and feedback system;
f) Report inappropriate behavior or unsuitable content.
4.2. The basic services listed in this article and all other functionalities available in the “basic services” section of the App are accessible free of charge by users.
5. Banners
5.1. When accessing the App, the User may see banners, which are graphical or textual elements containing advertisements, promotional information, or communications related to the sports world or other related contexts.
6. Facilities
6.1. Facilities are areas where Users can organize games, events, or other initiatives through the App. These may include, but are not limited to, basketball courts, gyms, sports arenas, or other suitable areas.
6.2. Each User may propose new Facilities or modify information regarding existing ones within the App. To do so, Users must provide updated data and photos accurately representing the facility.
6.3. The request to add a new Facility is subject to an approval process by Pick-Roll before being published on the map.
6.4. Once approved, Facilities are visible through the dedicated Map.
6.5. Users may also rate existing Facilities through a rating system and report Facilities that no longer exist or contain incorrect information. Pick-Roll reviews such reports and, if necessary, proceeds with the modification or removal of the Facility from the map.
7. Games
7.1. Each User can organize basketball games using the appropriate feature within the App.
7.2. Pick-Roll is not involved in the organization or execution of the games organized by Users.
8. Check-In
8.1. Check-In is a Pick-Roll feature that allows each User to indicate their presence at a Facility visible on the Map. This function facilitates player meet-ups and interaction within the App.
8.2. To ensure the authenticity of the Check-In, the App uses a geolocation system that only allows Check-In if the User is within a maximum distance of 300 meters from the Facility.
8.3. Once Check-In is completed, Users may be seen and contacted by other App users, encouraging spontaneous games and player interaction. Users can view who is at a Facility to decide whether to join a game or start a new one.
9. Events
9.1. Users can organize basketball events through the App.
9.2. Pick-Roll is not involved in the organization or execution of events.
10. User Rating System
10.1. The App implements a user rating system to encourage interaction within the player community.
10.2. Each User may be rated by other Users after a game, event, or meet-up through the App’s rating system. Ratings are subjective and are the sole responsibility of the users who give them.
10.3. Ratings are submitted anonymously by each User.
10.4. Pick-Roll does not verify or intervene in ratings, except in cases where abuse is reported or inappropriate behavior is detected (e.g., false ratings).
11. Premium Services
11.1. Each User, in addition to the functions listed in art. 4, may also access the App’s premium services by subscribing to a paid plan.
11.2. Prices, payment methods, and subscription duration are indicated in the relevant App section and may change over time. The applicable conditions are those indicated at the time the User purchases the premium service.
11.3. Subscriptions renew automatically.
11.4. Each User may cancel the automatic renewal at any time via the appropriate section in the App. Canceling the subscription means the User will no longer have access to premium services, except for the remaining valid period until the subscription expires. For more information, see the relevant section.
11.5. Premium services are governed by a specific document available in the relevant section.
12. Payments
12.1. For in-App payments, Users may use one of the following payment methods:
a) Credit/debit card;
b) Digital payments via Apple Pay or Google Pay;
c) Other payment methods available in the App.
13. Right of Withdrawal from Premium Services
13.1. The User has the right to withdraw from the premium services subscription at any time by accessing the dedicated section on the Website or sending an email to the contacts listed in art. 17.
13.2. Pursuant to Article 52 of the Consumer Code, the User may exercise the right of withdrawal within fourteen days of subscribing, obtaining a full refund, provided that no premium service has been used in the meantime.
13.3. If the User has already started using premium services, or if withdrawal is requested after the fourteen-day period, no refund will be issued.
14. Abuse Reporting
14.1. Each User may report abuse or inappropriate behavior by other users within the App or during events, games, or meet-ups. Reports may concern inappropriate or false content, misconduct, or violation of these Terms and Conditions.
14.2. Reports must be submitted through the appropriate Reporting Form.
14.3. Once a report is received, Pick-Roll will review it and may request clarifications from the involved parties. In cases of proven abuse, Pick-Roll may suspend or delete the User’s account.
14.4. Reports may be submitted through the dedicated form in the App or via the contacts provided in Art. 17.
15. User Responsibility
15.1. Each User is solely responsible for their conduct during events, games, or meet-ups organized via the App. Additionally, the User is responsible for the behavior of unregistered participants they invite or introduce to events and/or basketball games.
15.2. Pick-Roll assumes no responsibility for damage or incidents occurring during events, games, or any activity organized by Users through the App.
16. Pick-Roll Liability Limitations
16.1. The “Pick-Roll” App and its services are provided “as is.” Pick-Roll does not guarantee the App is error-free or free from interruptions or malfunctions. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pick-Roll disclaims all liability for direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from or related to the use or inability to use the App, including but not limited to data loss, service interruption, device damage, or other types of harm.
16.2. Therefore, the User acknowledges and agrees that the use of the App is at their sole risk and responsibility.

17.1. Users may contact Pick-Roll to report abuse, inappropriate behavior, App malfunctions, request account deletion, or for any other assistance request.

18. Governing Law
18.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed and interpreted in accordance with Italian law.
19. Disputes
19.1. Disputes arising from the application, execution, or interpretation of these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved amicably between the parties.
19.2. In the absence of an agreement, disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Italian courts and the territorial jurisdiction of the Court of Rome.
